What is “Wa”?
The accessory brand centers around the theme of “Wa,” a representation of all things related to traditional Japanese culture and design style, condensed into a single character. This expression embodies the essence of the Japanese people’s mentality.
The concept behind “Jyunintowa” is to design a brand that expresses the various individual interpretations of “Wa.”
We endeavor to propose seasonal products with the theme of “Wa,” emphasizing traditional Japanese designs and styles.
Our company has long been recognized as a fashion brand in Japan’s Asakusabashi district, which has been known as the city of accessories since ancient times. As foreign tourists visit this area more frequently in recent years, we believe it is important to express the city’s longstanding Japanese culture, traditions, and architecture through our accessory designs.
The design themes vary from tangible Japanese motifs such as Japanese confectionery, festivals, Noh masks, Daruma dolls, and Komainu (lion-dogs) to traditional patterns such as Mizuhiki, Nanako, and Asanoha, as well as materials and shapes such as origami and washi paper.
While our theme is “Wa,” modern and contemporary designs that incorporate elements of “Retro” and “Modern” are also considered, which can be easily coordinated with western clothing, expanding the possibilities of fashion.
Our designs are also compatible with traditional Japanese garments such as kimono and yukata, making them accessible to a wide range of age groups.
All of our products are produced in-house at our atelier, and therefore are entirely original Japanese-made items.
We strive to ensure that each accessory is of the highest quality by manually coloring, producing, and inspecting each item before delivery to our customers. Our products have received high praise from both Japanese and foreign customers alike.
